What’s a king without a… TV show? Two-time NBA champion Lebron James is reportedly teaming up with Starz to produce his own sitcom.

Starz released a statement Tuesday saying they’re working with James to create a half-hour comedy series called “Survivor’s Remorse.” The release says the series will “explore the complexity, comedy and drama of an experience that everyone reads about, but few understand – what truly happens when you make it out.” (Via The New York Times)

For those of you immediately thinking the show will be another installment of The Lebrons commercial, featuring four different versions of Lebron, guess again! New York Daily News adds, the show will focus on “two men from the Philadelphia ghetto who become successful and occasionally find themselves looking back with pangs of guilt.” (Via NikeNew York Daily News)

James is also bringing in a reputable squad to see the project through.

Tom Werner is said to be part of the project. Werner, chairman of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool Football Club, also has some TV chops, producing popular shows like The Cosby Show and Roseanne. (Via Academy of Arts & Sciences FoundationTVland

Also on board, James’ close friend and business partner Maverick Carter and actor, comedian and writer, Mike O’Malley. (Via Fox SportsThe Ellen Degeneres Show)

Though it’s still early, James got some praise for his new venture from NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith who said,

“He is qualified to do it, I think he’ll do an excellent job with this. … Maverick is highly intelligent along with his entire crew.” (Via ESPN)

“Survivor’s Remorse” currently has no set air date.
