Tulsa pastor moves toward forgiveness after man broke into his church

TULSA, Okla. —

Police arrested a man accused of breaking into a Tulsa church early Thursday morning.

It happened at First Lutheran Church near 12th and Utica.

Officers said the man caught at the church refused to obey commands and was eventually taken into custody by a K-9 officers.

The church's pastor, Rob Martin, told FOX23 he feels disappointed and violated because the suspect is a homeless man they were helping.

This is only the second time the church was targeted because of their mission to help the homeless, according to church leadership.

The congregation will decide whether or not the church will press charges.
