City of Broken Arrow holding career fair May 19

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Broken Arrow area employers from the healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, and hospitality sectors are expected to attend the Work In BA Career Fair on May 19, 2022, from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Northeastern State University Broken Arrow Campus at 3100 E. New Orleans Broken Arrow.

Employers are hiring for local positions that are available now. Work in BA Career Center is operated by the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation. The center was made possible by the contributions and support of the City of Broken Arrow and Tulsa County.

The Work In BA Career Fair will be in partnership with The Supply Chain and Logistics Conference being held on May 19th at NSU BA. The Conference will run concurrently with the Career Fair with Conference registration and a light breakfast beginning at 7:30 AM and ending at 4:00 PM. The Conference will include keynotes and breakout sessions throughout the day.

“We are excited to be partnering with the Supply Chain and Logistics Conference. It is no secret that the supply chain has been hit hard in the last two years as has our workforce. It just made sense to have the Career Fair alongside the Conference for greater networking opportunities for the job seekers attending and the employers participating in the Career Fair,” said Workforce Development Director, Amber Miller. “So many companies are struggling to find the talent they need to address the growth and demand we are experiencing. In Broken Arrow we are committed to creating connections between employers and prospective employees during these challenging times,” said Miller.

Those attending the career fair are encouraged to prepare with an updated resume, dress to impress in professional attire, and project a positive attitude. Miller will be on hand at the fair to introduce job seekers to the services available at Work in BA Career Center, including resume assistance and providing educational resources.
