BROKEN ARROW, Okla. —

Three 250-foot rolls of copper wire were stolen from the Timber Ridge Elementary Schools construction site, according to Broken Arrow police.

Investigators believe the crime happened sometime between Tuesday and Thursday this week.

The exact value of the wiring is unknown, but it’s believed to be worth at least a couple hundred dollars. Officials told FOX23 that thieves often stake out construction sites for copper and know the stage where wire will be placed.

FOX23 reached out to Broken Arrow Public Schools, but they have not yet provided a statement.

No suspect or vehicle information is available at this time.
