McDonald's restaurant scene of armed robbery during business hours

Robbers smashed door glass, forced occupants to rear of business

Armed robbers storm into a McDonald's restaurant at closing time.

The store at 333 South 129 East was still open when three young black males smashed the glass in the door, then told everyone inside to get toward the back of the business.

The restaurant "usually closes down about one o'clock normally because of the location where it's at," TPD Corporal R. W. Solomon said.

The suspects told the manager to open the safe in the office, where they took money and headed out the front door.

"No one was hurt during the incident."

Police are examining the video.
