Tulsa Health Department opens 500 new vaccine appointments

Additional doses meant more times could be added

Vaccine distribution began in Oklahoma in late December

The Tulsa Health Department has added 500 additional vaccine appointments for today (Tuesday), February 2nd.

The health department received additional doses of the vaccine and added the appointments for Tulsa County residents.

The appointments are for first doses only.

If you are due for your second dose, it is recommended to return to the vaccine site where you received your first dose. Your appointment for your second dose will be made on-site, according to THD.

We received additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which has allowed us to add 500 new Tulsa County available...

If you have already registered on the vaccine portal, the health department said you may receive an e-mail to make an appointment.

The health department is currently vaccinating health care workers, first responders and adults 65 and older.
