The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives asked for help Monday to find the incendiary, which was sold June 13 at the Fancy Flea Antique Mall.

“The grenade, thought to be inert, may contain materials that could degrade and explode,” the agency said on social media.

This is not the first time a live grenade has been found at a secondhand sale in North Carolina. Last year, a grenade was found in a dresser at a Durham thrift store, the News & Observer reported. An explosives team was able to dispose of it safely.
