BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Many golfers never experience the thrill of sinking a hole-in-one. A 5-year-old Florida boy has now done it twice.

Cameron Middleton is not your ordinary duffer. He first picked up a golf club when he was 18 months old, and his skills continue to develop.

Recently at the Stoneybrook Golf Club in Estero, Middleton teed off and sent his shot rocketing toward the flag. His left-handed shot was true and rolled right into the cup. The boy’s glee and squeals of laughter can be heard as he ran down the fairway and discovered the golf ball in the hole, WPTV reported.

The camera panned to show his ball in the cup.

“That’s in the hole,” Middleton yelled.

Middleton’s parents have nurtured and encouraged his love for golf. Neither one of them are good at the game.

“No, absolutely not,” Gina Middleton told WINK-TV in April. “Mine goes sideways. It might hit a tree.”

“I’ve hit several houses on this course, unfortunately,” Marc Middleton told the television station.

Cameron Middleton joined the South Florida PGA Jr. League, and his game continues to turn heads. But he has been doing that for a few years.

“It was pretty amazing,” Marc Middleton told WINK. “He was hitting it straight down the middle – 40, 50 yards – consistently. So I called Gina, and I said, ‘I think he might be into golf.’”

“I was stunned, honestly,” Gina Middleton told the television station. “To watch a child have the hand-eye coordination to hit a ball the way he did, it was absolutely phenomenal.”
