Tulsa Police chase ends in crash near 76th Street N and Highway 75

TULSA, Okla. — What started as a routine traffic stop for Tulsa police officers ended in a chase through North Tulsa.

At E 11th Street and S Garnett Road, police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver wouldn’t stop and sped onto 76th Street North and travelled westbound. The driver sped several miles across Tulsa and crashed near Sperry, Okla. by E 76th Street and Pittsburg Avenue.

The driver crashed after he drove through a line of trees and disabled the truck, according to officers on the scene.

Officers told FOX23 that the truck had been reported as stolen, and the suspect has been taken into custody. No one was injured in the chase.
