WCSO release name of teenage girl charged in connection with Dewey double murder

DEWEY, Okla. — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WSCO) released the name of the teenager charged in connection with a double murder in Dewey.

Heidi D. Dutton, 17, had her initial appearance in court Tuesday. WSCO confirmed she is being charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of desecration of a human corpse, and one count of conspiracy.

Heidi Dutton and her boyfriend, 20-year-old Lucas Walker, are accused of killing her adoptive parents, Larry and Debbie Dutton.

FOX23 previously reported that Larry and Debbie Dutton were Heidi’s biological grandparents, but the couple adopted her.

Walker had his first court appearance Monday, Jan. 23. He was officially charged with first degree murder in Indian Country and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Because he is Native American, he has been charged in federal court.

WCSO said Tuesday Walker has been moved from the Washington County Detention Center however he remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals and the FBI at another location.
